News Where Are You?

Well you may have noticed this blog has not been updated for just over a week now. The reason for this lack of posts is basically because of the lack of news to post. But i do intend to change this as soon i will be posting my own episode reviews for Torchwood Series 1. These reviews will come complete with if i liked the episode or i disliked it, what happened in the episode and also a score out of ten. Look out for these reviews shortly.

Long Time No See

As their has not been much to post about in the Torchwood World I'm afraid i have recently not been posting as much as i would have liked to. I have meanwhile been spending most of my time on my two other blogs (Bad Wolf PR and John Simm PR). This however I intend to change as I will try to post as much as I can on this blog.

Moving on even though Torchwood Series 2 is still quite a long wait until it airs memories of Series 1 still live in the form of fan made music videos. Below is a fan video made by Mark from Tardis and Torchwood Treasures. This video is called Heyo Captain Jack and the song is called Heyo Captain Jack. Enjoy the video.

Site Stuff

G'Day Woodies, as you have noticed the "Who Mix Of The Week" has been removed. Why you may ask? Well quite simply because it interfered with other things on the site, videos mainly. Although I absolutely adore Whomix as a site, their plug-in does not allow you to turn off the volume. So regardless of which track I could place on here, you would always constantly hear it going. Even if you were watching one of the site videos.

All of this I found to be quite annoying, and imagine many of you would have had the same feelings about it. Well good news, its gone for good. If we had not intended on placing videos on the site, a deal may have been cut with Whomix. History now all.

Next up more changes, if you haven't noticed already the "Contributors Blogs" area has been updated. Nothing like a freshen up, hey. Any way that is pretty much it. Other than that, Torchwood PR is seeking another contributor. If you are interested, you can apply via the site email address in the links tab. One person though, is permanently exempt from this offer being made them. Can you guess who? Its not really that hard, yes that's right you know who you are.

'Til next time Woodies peace, and I hope you are all enjoying Captain Jacks return in Doctor Who Season 3.

Off We Go To The End Of The Universe

Hello Hubbers, it that time again, time to see every one's favourite captain back on our screens. Why? Well fans of Doctor Who will of course know that Captain Jack Harkness is back tonight. Tonight's episode should answer some important questions like How did Captain Jack get back from the future to present day Cardiff? and also Is Jack going to be cured from his immortality? well I'm sure all will be revealed. Below is the BBC press release for tonight's episode of Doctor Who entitled Utopia. To see a clip from Totally Doctor Who with Jack, The Doctor and also Martha in, head over to Bad Wolf PR.

Jack's back! As Captain Jack storms back into the Doctor's life, the Tardis is thrown out of control, to the end of the universe, in tonight's episode of Russell T Davies's Doctor Who. There, they find the savage Futurekind ruling the wilderness, while a lonely Professor tries in vain to save the last of the human race.

Whomix of the Week

So you noticed, hey? It was bit a bit hard not to, from now on each week at Torchwood PR, we will endeavour to bring you the latest "Whomix". So check out the news and get hyped for the next episode, now with sound. The guys over at Whomix, have come up with some very original takes on our favourite theme, I hope you will enjoy them all.

This first mix is called "Hellfire" and is done as a Hardcore Techno track. It's 7 minutes 29 seconds in length and should get the blood pumping in your veins. The artist Scott Sleigh (Cornwall, UK), has done an outstanding job in bringing this tune into the rave realm.

A little bit of a different way to celebrate 500 hits, on Torchwood PR. Maybe over time (no pun intended), the site will start on Torchwood as well. Heres hoping. So now blogging has a soundtrack too, I hope you all enjoy it! Cheers.

All you will need to do is report on the latest Torchwoood news, so if you think you want to join please contact me again at the usual address which is poppr@hotmail.co.uk

The Celebratory Site ReVamp

G'day Woodies and Hubbers, like the new look? Well I hope so, it took literally ages to do. Torchwood PR, as well as Badwolf PR have both just under-gone major design overhauls. Why? To celebrate Torchwood and Doctor Who's recent BAFTA wins. If you like what you see, they have both been re-done me.

Torchwood took 4 Awards, and Doctor Who followed its winning streak of prevoius years by taking home 8. A total of 12 awards in total, for the whoniverse. Torchwood's awards included Best Actress - Eve Myles, Best Design, Best Director of Photography: Drama and Best Drama. Way to go Eve, looks like reading knickers paid off.

Humor aside, Torchwood PR would also like to welcome back into the fold, CPotey. After being missing in action for a couple of months, he's back to help bring you the news on all things Torchwood. So that's the original crew, all back together again.

As mentioned earlier by CPotey, filming has commenced for season 2. If you have a mobile phone camera (which most of you would), and there is filming going on near you. Make use of it, after all there is long time to wait 'til 08 and your pics could end up on the site. Please send your submissions to Pop at poppr@hotmail.co.uk. All submissions will be accredited, if used.

'Til next Woodies / Hubbers remember, "A special kind of Doctor can help you."

Busy, Busy Boy - Everything Changes

G'day Hubbers, hows it going? Nothing like some Australian slang, to start the day. As you all may noticed, the site has gone through some further changes again. Most noteably, the addition of labels to help you search through our news more easilly. You will also notice, a new section "Torchwood Topics" in the side-bar. This has been created especially so you can choose, how you want to view our news.

Another thing that I need to report about this site, is that sadly I will not be able to add a Picasa Web Album (like I did on my LifeOnMars.tv site). The reason for this is our multiple contributors. On one hand, its good having a lot of people help out. But in the case here, its prevented us from doing this. The Picasa software, although great does not work on a site basis. It works on a user basis, so if I put one up it would only contain the pictures I have posted on this sites blog area (not the side-bar), which is currently only 2 pictures. If we change our minds, I'd say we'll post Pop's one instead (him being the major contributor and also administrator). But what a bummer, hey?

One Big Secret Is Out

After i tortured a lot of you last night on the cbox i thought i should release my first but of course there are many more and they might be even better (that should annoy you some more). The first is basically i have made a new blog which has been completely hidden because i stopped it from appearing on my profile. This website will be all about The Sarah Jane Adventures and the undecided show K9 Adventures and can be found here. Soon i will be submitting the pilot episode K9 And Company for you all to see. I will also write my own review of the show. If anyone would like to contribute to this site please email me at poppr@hotmail.co.uk.

PR Links Page

Hello again People. I have recently made a links page just in time before all the angry bloggers i had links of came after me. Anyway the purpose of this Link site is so i can have as many links as i like and still keep my other sites intact and not a mile long. This site will be updated from time to time and made better. If you would like your site as a link please either leave a message in the cbox or in the comments section on the new post on the link site. It can be found here or on the sidebar to the right.

Sarah-Jane Update?

G'day Woodies, Cyberman here. Outpost Gallifrey, possibly the number one Doctor Who and Spinoff site, has announced that the latest edition of SFX magazine has an update on "The Sarah-Jane Adventures". This is good news for all, after the shocking revelation that it was being stalled due to problems with "Torchwood".

The Sarah-Jane Adventures, though aimed at a younger audience, is more like the original series of "Doctor Who" crossed with say "Nancy Drew", "The Hardy Boys" or "The Three Investigators". By this, I am referring to Sarah's young assistants who help her solve the mysteries in question.

When news of both "Torchwood" and "The Sarah-Jane Adventures" being stalled first broke, many fans were asking themselves "Has the BBC bitten off more than they can chew?", lets hope not. Since Doctor Who first returned to our screens in 2005, it has spawned many spin-offs and behind the scenes programs. These include, "Doctor Who Confidential", "Totally Doctor Who" (which now contains an animated version of Doctor Who), "Torchwood", "Torchwood Declassified", "The Sarah-Jane Adventures" and also "The K-9 Adventures" which is still yet to be seen.

For all you UK residents, the magazine hit new stands on the 10th of March 2007 (yesterday). For everyone else, it will arrive more than likely a week after. So do yourselves a favour, and head down and pick up a copy. Lets hope its good news about our favourite sonic-lipstick weilding companion, 'til next time peace Woodies.

Tidied Up

As many of you may have noticed TorchwoodPR has had a little makeover with a change of template and colours. Plus we now have a small logo which can be seen on the top of the sidebar which was created by one of contributors called Robert Cyberman. I like to thank him for all his help in this project. PS I have decided to delete my PiperPR site because it was really not going anywhere but it will be replaced with a site i hope you will all love.

Hubbers Get A Face Lift

Torchwood news seems to be slow these days and nothing is really about for us to talk about. Well Torchwoodpr has some small news but it is still news after all. Firstly Torchwood although it has been heard by a few people that Torchwood will not return until 2008 it has not been confirmed or decided yet so lets wait and see Hubbers. Also the famous underground Hub is set to have a little makeover before the new series which should be great to see. Remember Hubbers Out of the Darkness News is coming.

Double John Tonight

All you Barrowman fans are proberly jumping up and down now, because we have yet another dose of the National Lottery being hosted by him on at 9.25pm. Later on, John will also appear on Al Murrays Happy Hour on ITV. Hopefully if Al lets John get a word in, we might have more news on Torchwood Series 2. It is a great night for Hubbers everywhere including Australia. May I just say Welcome to the Torchwood team Rob and Good Luck.

The Second Cyberman on Torchwood . . . . .

Greetings Woodies, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Robert Cyberman. Name familiar, yes? Well you probably remember it from LifeOnMars.tv if you are also a fan of Life On Mars.

Pop, possibly the number one visitor to my site, graciously invited me to join Torchwoods' newest information hub Torchwood PR. Unlike the other contributors to this site, I am Australian. This gives me a unique perspective, as well as at least a 10 hour leap in time on most of you visitors.

As a contributor, and in addition to my regular postings I will also be posting news relevant to the southern hemisphere which many other sites seem to overlook. In closing, I would like say thank you to Pop and a big hello to all you Woodies out there.

Torchwood PR Needs You

Yes here I am again asking for help, but this time I truly hope you will help me. As many of you will have noticed, Bad Wolf PR has had a new logo which I believe really gives it a professional look. Now you will also have noticed Torchwood PR has not got one (You can see where I'm going here). I am now asking you too design and make a logo for the Torchwood PR site. It must include the Words Torchwood PR exactly like that, and nothing more. You can use any software you wish, the best if we have enough entries, will be picked to be the new logo on the site. Good Luck and get designing.

Scripts etc

As many of you may know, I am currently making an episode guide on Bad Wolf PR. Well Bad Wolf can't have all the fame, because Torchwood PR will soon have one for series 2 to rival its brother. But that's not all, there will also be scripts from series 1 going to be published as separate pages as well. Though because of a busy week, I hope I will be able to have all these things done for this time next week.
