Unfortunately due to lack of time I'm afraid to say that this blog is soon to be not posted on. This blog has managed to reach 126 posts including this one and was originally made on the 24th February 2007. I at first ran this site by myself but was soon joined by the arrival of Robert and Cpotey who have helped me post on this blog and keep you all updated with the latest Torchwood news. Could i take the time to thank those two for all their help to this blog as well as thanking each and every visitor and helper to this site. If anyone is currently wondering where you can find the latest Torchwood news i strongly recommend Torchwood.TV and Tardis And Torchwood Treasures. As for me i will still be around and about as i will continue to make Music Videos which can all be found on my You Tube Channel Here as well as chatting to anyone who wishes to speak to me. So this is basically it for me and blogging i hope you thoroughly enjoyed all our posts and thanks for your support.

According to the Daily Star, in series 2 Gwen Cooper gets pregnant with an alien baby. Gwen will be expecting a half-baby, and find out on he wedding day, getting married to Rhys. Rhys isn't the father though... Gwen had been inpregnanted by an alien. Now Martha and Gwen have to hide the bump on the tummy from Rhys.

Hammond Talks Torchwood

Peter J Hammond who wrote the Torchwood Series 1 episode Small Worlds has recently told the SFX Blog that his story in Series 2 will be even scarier. According to the writer he has borrowed a plot element from his ITV series Sapphire and Steel which he created in the early 1980s. He also revealed some spoilers for his episode which can be seen by highlighting the text below.

"I think one of my favourite Sapphire and Steels was the one with Mr Shape going in and out of photographs. Torchwood takes this a bit further and it's people coming out of moving films from the '20s. There are some lovely 'black and white' people in it."As the SFX blog points out, that particular Sapphire and Steel story by Hammond has inspired two recent writers in their Doctor Who scripts, with the faceless people in The Idiot's Lantern and the trapped-in-mirrors resolution to the Family Of Blood."

Everything Changes S1 Ep1

Everything Changes sees the Doctor Who Spin-off kick off on a high. The story begins with a murder which is then taken over by a team of experts who have special access called Torchwood. At the murder scene Gwen Cooper happens to see the team of experts somehow bring the murder victim back to life using a glove. As the story continues Gwen starts to try and investigate this team and find out about the mysterious Captain Jack Harkness. This leads her to see a man being torn apart by a monster which she originally thought was a man in a mask. Eventually after close observations Gwen Cooper manages to track down the Torchwood Team and their base which is hidden away underground. Captain Jack Harkness strangely introduces Gwen to the team which consists off Owen Harper, Suzie Costello, Toshiko Sato and Ianto Jones. Jack also introduces her to the creature that she saw kill someone that have been named Weevils. Gwen is soon drugged with a amnesia pill which makes her forget her ever meeting Torchwood. Gwen however soon remembers Torchwood as she starts to piece together the latest murders which leads her back to the Torchwood base to find out Suzie killed the victims. This then leads Suzie to shoot Jack but then shoot herself when Jack stands back up seemly unaffected by the blast. Gwen is soon offered to join the Torchwood team as Jack explains that something happened to him a long time ago and ever since he can not die. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this episode as I thought the character of Gwen was very clever and I found it started the series of great and keeps you hooked. Overall I would give this episode a 8/10.

TV Choice Awards 2007

Last night at the British TV Quick and TV Choice Awards Torchwood managed to grab a award for its first series. Torchwood won the award for Best New Drama. I'd like to take the time to congratulate Torchwood for all it's success and to wish them the best of luck for there second series.

Everyone stopped what they were doing. Tosh stood up from her computer, Gwen and Owen stopped over by the coffee machine and ran over to Tosh. "Where did that come from!?" Gwen exclaimed. They stood there in silence for a few moments until Tosh said "Did that come from the cells...weren't Jack and Ianto down there?.." They all glanced down the corridor aching to know what it was but neither daring to go down there in case whatever it was got them too.

Jack turned round staring into the blackness of the corridor "Ianto! Is that you? Are you ok? IANTO!?" he called whilst running back into the darkness re tracing his steps. "Jack?Jack!" Ianto called in front of him- not sure which way to go. Out of the darkness emerged a running figure charging down the corridor shouting his name. "Jack what was that crash? Was it you?" Jack widened his eyes looking offended "when was the last time I screamed?!" "Well, last night when..." Ianto answered raising his eyebrow, "Ahem that’s not quite what I meant!" Jack scoffed with a smile. "Hang on Yan wasn't Captain Jack down there?..."

They immediately began running down the corridor, Jack pulling Ianto to keep up with him. They slowly opened the door to the room and before they saw inside a weevil rushed out knocking Ianto to the floor as it passed them before charging off down the corridor. Jack buzzed the rest of the team and told them there was a rogue weevil heading there way and to do something with it. Jack offered Ianto a helping hand and pulled him off the ground and they slowly opened the door to the room.

"Oh My God!!" Jack screamed as he knelt down beside the captain stroking his head, fighting back the pain and feeling of disgust as his lovers torn body lay there. Ianto didn't know what to say, what could he say? Nothing would make it better. "Ianto go and get the rest of the team. We better move him. I’ll stay down here." The team came down and helped Jack carefully move him into the autopsy room. When the team reached Jack his faced was tear stained but no one questioned him, it was obvious he was trying to put on a brave face. Jack and Ianto sat down while Owen stitched up his wounds and cleaned his face. Ianto felt so sorry for Jack, he'd never seen him like this. He never really liked the captain but he wouldn't wish this upon anyone. "Ok Jack, Ianto, he’s done; well he looks better than he did before. I tried my best" Owen confirmed.

"What a waste" Jack sighed running his hand through the captain's hair. Ianto grabbed Jack's other hand under the table and squeezed it and smiled before whispering "Its OK". Owen walked back in "Not in here you two! I kwow you're...you know...but still!" Owen grumbled "Not in my room" he said a tad flustered before storming out. There was a weird silence with Jack looking nervous. "Jack are you ok you look...thoughtful?" Ianto questioned. "Umm Yan, don't think I’m crazy but...remember what you said about gloves coming in pairs?" He questioned nervously. Ianto looked a bit bemused before catching on. "Jack? Are you sure? You saw what happened with Gwen, surely the rest of the team would never agree to it? He wondered wearily. "Who said they'd have to know what we used?" They both smiled at each other in agreement. "Well Yan, we have a slight problem...we don't know where it is!" Jack sighed feeling defeated. Ianto started nervously biting his lip "umm..." he paused for a moment with Jack staring at him eyes widened willing him to go on. "...sir...don’t be angry...suzie...she had the other one..her garage, I knew about it but...I would never have used it!.." he babbled incoherently. "Ianto don't worry I know you wouldn't" he smiled reassuringly. "So what are we waiting for- I don't know where it is!" Jack scoffed pulling Ianto to his feet, grabbing his coat and exiting the hub towards the SUV.

Back at the hub an hour or two later they returned carrying a large box "Its ok you 3 go home. Have an early night, get hammered, whatever you please but make it snappy" Jack ordered to the rest of the team. Owen muttered something about them shagging but Jack just laughed and joined Ianto in the autopsy room.

They lifted him onto the table- he was cold, still, pale. "He shouldn't be like this" Jack said quietly. "No-one should" Ianto agreed "Now are you sure about this You don't know what could happen?" "Look I'm prepared to take that risk, please Yan don't bail on me, I need you more than ever now!" And that was all he needed to know and with that he handed Jack the glove which he slipped on cautiously. Jack rested his metal hand on the Captain's head and the other round the glove's wrist whilst Ianto grabbed the Captain's hand. Jack felt a sharp electric pulse vibe up his arm and through his whole body. The Captain's eyes opened and he gasped before shutting them again and becoming lifeless. Jack moaned frustrated "C'mon!" he squeezed the glove gently and the Captain gasped and threw his head back squeezing Ianto's hand whilst Jack lay unconscious- well presumed dead but he'd be back in a minute or two. "Where am I" Captain Jack exclaimed "Its OK" reassured Ianto "You're back now- you're safe". The Captain looked bewildered before sitting up and noticing Jack lying on the floor gasping for air. Jack stood up pretty much unfazed by it and very matter-of-factly said "You died, actually quite a painful death...an accident may I add but you probably remember that...umm...we brought you back, we’ve got this glove thing and it can do that, so we did.." he smiled. The Captain hugged them both and whispered "Thank-you".

The next morning Jack was in the hub explaining to everyone something about him transferring his resurrecting abilities into the Captain a bit, but wasn't sure if they believed him or not but he was their leader so what he says goes. Back in Jack's office Ianto was sitting with the Captain "So, how’s it feel to be back?" Ianto questioned. "OK- it’s just...well before I died I was thinking how I've come between you and Jack and basically made a mess of things ever since I got here".

"Dont say that! Its not your fault you're here" he reassured him. "I know its not but I just think...maybe it'd be better if I was back in my own time; no offence but there’s no complications- just looking after my team, they need me." They both sighed before Ianto added "Jack's doing that too...he just wants the best for us"

"Ianto...don't mention this to Jack but...do you know how to work the rift?" The Captain asked cautiously. "Ermm....yeahh I have before but it ended up with Owen rolling on top of me and he got a big hole in his shoulder!" Ianto laughed "long story..!" The captain laughed too before looking serious again "Ianto will you help me?.." "Of course I will...with what?" he looked in confusion. "will you help send be back home..."

Russell T Davies Interview

In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine Russell T Davies (Torchwood Creator) tells Benjamin Cook about the second series of Torchwood below are some extracts from the magazine.

"The first episode of Series Two is rip-roaring, It's the sexiest adventure we've ever done, and Chris Chibnall's finest hour. I know there are certain sections of fandom who'd love us to say, 'We've completely revamped it, and reinvented all of the characters,' but we haven't, actually."
"We like those five characters," Russell continues, "We love that cast; there are still no two-parters in it, we're keeping one-off stories each week, some sad, some funny, some lively, but a general sense of fun. Why don't they have more of a laugh?"

Aswell as a interview with Russell theirs also news that episode 7 of series 2 of Torchwood will be written by Matt Jones whereas Joseph Lidster will write episode 8. Also there is interview with production designer Edward Thomas, who talks about the challenges of filming Torchwood in HD. He also talks about the design process behind the stunning Hub set.

Torchwood Series 2 Press Release

Earlier today i posted saying News Where Are You? Well now news is here as the BBC Press Office have released a Press Release concerning Torchwood Series 2 and Martha's role. You can see this press release and a brand new Torchwood picture below.

Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) is back and reunited with Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) when she teams up with Torchwood (BBC Two) to help them solve a series of mysterious deaths in Cardiff.
Pictured here as she steps into the Hub for the first time, a more grown up and worldly-wise Martha brings her medical knowledge and the expertise learnt during her travels with The Doctor to help Torchwood do battle against an alien threat.
Freema Agyeman says: "Martha has grown up a lot since Doctor Who. She's now a fully qualified doctor and a bit hardened by life experiences. When she finds out that Captain Jack needs her help, she joins Torchwood for a while. She continues to develop her knowledge of alien intelligence, but this time keeping her feet on the ground.
"These will be invaluable skills to take back with her on future adventures with The Doctor. She outgrew The Doctor, in a sense, and so the next time they meet it will be in a more professional capacity. I'm so proud of her journey and who she has become.
"And for me as an actress, it's a great new challenge to be able to broaden and expand Martha as she develops in other directions for this more adult series. The Torchwood team are fabulous to work with and have made me very welcome."
Creator of Torchwood, Russell T Davies says: "Freema is a wonderful actress and we want to give her the chance to add another dimension to Martha. She is going to cause some waves in the team – especially as she joins Torchwood at a point when everything is going to change for one of them."
Freema is one of many special guest stars appearing in the new series of Torchwood. Richard Briers is the latest to join the line-up, playing Parker, a reclusive millionaire who is the keeper of alien secrets, much later in the series. Alan Dale (Ugly Betty, Lost) and James Marsters (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) have also been confirmed.
The second series of Torchwood begins on BBC Two in the New Year and Martha will be starring half way through the series, appearing in three episodes.
Torchwood is executive produced by Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner, Head of Drama BBC Wales. The producer is Richard Stokes and the series is filmed in Cardiff.

News Where Are You?

Well you may have noticed this blog has not been updated for just over a week now. The reason for this lack of posts is basically because of the lack of news to post. But i do intend to change this as soon i will be posting my own episode reviews for Torchwood Series 1. These reviews will come complete with if i liked the episode or i disliked it, what happened in the episode and also a score out of ten. Look out for these reviews shortly.

Richard Briers To Appear

Actor Richard Briers revealed on BBC News 24 that he will be appearing in a episode of series 2 of Torchwood. Richard was being interviewed about the remastered Charlie Chaplin films but he said he read the script and it scared him. Talking to Michael Parkinson on BBC Radio 2 he added that he will play a 90-year-old man rehearsing for the end. Richard once appeared in Doctor Who where he played The Chief Caretaker in the 1987 story Paradise Towers alongside Sylvester McCoy.

Have I Been Here Before?

John will appear on the 15th August on ITV1 and the show will be presented by Phillip Schofield. More news on this shortly.

Greetings Woodies, since its premiere in Australia I have endeavoured to bring you advertising from Down Under. This week is no exception. Below you will find Channel 10 Australia's promotion for episode 7 "Greeks Baring Gifts". In addition to this, I've also got another Australian review for you from The Age "Green Guide". This one, a lot more favourable than the last one from Ann-Maree Bellman as featured in my previous post.

Fergus Sheil has a lot better to say of the show, and doesn't fill his review with why? He loves adding humour and also shows us his Welsh side, in his closing statement. The review goes as follows . . .

Who would have guessed that the Welsh capital was the sort of place where fashionable young alien-hunters could enjoy chic shopping, same-sex kissing and hot clubbing when not reviving the dead with an oven mitt? Torchwood is the square-jawed, time-travelling, special operations answer to cosmic criminality that the Welsh have promised for so long. Tonight, Toshiko (Naoko Mori) meets a woman at a bar who gives her a strange mind-reading pendant. When Tosh puts it on, she is overwhelmed by the thoughts of others and by a sudden desire to tap into her new friend's orgasmic energy. The other members of the Torchwood gang are left pondering the connection between a centuries-old skeleton and a strange metal contraption unearthed side-by-side in a field. Freema Begins Filming

The Not So Glorious Australian "Countrycide" . . .

Strange title for post, yes Woodies? Well there is a purpose to it. Along with my usual posting of Australian Promos, this one comes with a review as well. Ann-Maree Bellman of "The Age - Green Guide (TV Magazine Lift-out)" has this to say about tonight's episode "Countrycide". Not very flattering to our gang, and quite obviously not impressed by the show so far.

The review goes as follows . . . . .

"Torchwood
Channel Ten, 9.30pm

It's Famous Five Go Camping meets The Blair Witch Chainsaw Massacre when the team venture into rural Wales to investigate a series of disappearances. The new take on Doctor Who has been marvellous TV, so it was a given I'd follow one of its characters, charming conman Captain Jack Harkness, to this darker, sex-obsessed spin-off. This episode is scary in a horror-by-numbers way, especially as we're not sure yet whether the writers are willing to kill off main characters, but somewhere in the midst of the gore fest, I stopped thinking Who, and started thinking Why? Why are they investigating this one? Why so angsty about their work when they could up and leave? Why are these scared and confused misfits Earth's last defence? Why all the leaping around corners with guns? Why has Jack Harkness gone all Jack Bauer on us? Why are the characterisations so confused? Why does Torchwood possess all the technology on the planet (and off it) but have ancient-looking army tents? Why, in fact, don't I keep my regular appointment with the Doctor, but let Torchwood slip into the rift?"

Well that's Ann-Maree Bellman's take on Countrycide and Torchwood as a whole. All she seemed to state all the way through the review, was why? Why indeed Ann-Maree would you waste readers time with something so condescending and trivial, as what you have written. Perhaps Ann-Maree what you really need to do is watch the episode again, it was truly one of the highlights of the first season. Maybe Ann-Maree you need to take advice from the old idiom, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". I am sure most readers of this blog, would agree with me 100%. Anyway here is the trailer, you've heard enough from me today so make your own judgement on it.

Marster Is Spotted

As reported earlier by Torchwood PR James Marsters will be appearing in series 2 of Torchwood. Well thanks to Spacy Gal from the Outpost Gallifrey Forum we know have a report and pictures of Torchwood filming. Here's what she has to say:

Wow, what a night! My friend Sue and I were around Mermaid Quay last night and were walking back through Roald Dahl Plas when we saw some trucks turning up. We realised that TW were going to be filming there, so of course we decided to hang around and watch, feeling really excited! Lol.Nothing happened much until about 12.30am. We saw some trailers near the Millennium Centre, and one had "Jack" on the door. A while later John Barrowman turned up, as did James Marsters! The crew set up to film the two of them doing a scene in the plas. We watched them filming the same scene for a couple of hours and saw them all laughing and joking with the crew. It was great to see James wearing another period military uniform. Very different to Jack's, I might add.

A while later Gareth David Lloyd turned up, wearing a lovely pin stripe suit, pale pink shirt and blue striped tie. One of the friendly security guards we'd been chatting to for the past couple of hours knew we really liked Gareth. He went straight over to Gareth and said spoke to him. Next minute Gareth started to walk straight over to us!! He shook our hands and said "Hi, I'm Gareth" - as if we didn't know! Lol. He spoke to us for a bit and then we asked if we could have our photos taken with him. He said "sure, of course" and posed with both of us separately. We had our arms tightly around his waist

Then, Naoko, Eve and Burn all turned up to film a short scene in an old fashioned London hackney cab! All of them (except John) climbed into the cab and they were filmed driving by. Then they all left, except for John, who went back to his trailer for a quick break. As Gareth was leaving he walked back over to us and said "Lovely meeting you ladies, have a good night". He was so adorable!

As the crew started to pack up, the SUV shot by, on the way to the next location.John was then driven off to another nearby location to film one final scene. We could have gone to see him film that too but decided to call it a night, as it was about 4.30am and tiredness finally started to hit us! Lol. We'd seen much more than we'd expected that night anyway, so we were happy! We called a taxi and headed straight home. Exhausted now, going to get some sleep in a minute, but simply had to post our report and some of the pics Sue took.

Thanks to Kasterbourous, Torchwood PR can now reveal that there is soon to be a Torchwood Magazine. This magazine will apparently be published in 2008 to run with series 2. The magazine will be produced by Titan and will include a comic. Titan also hold the rights to produce Torchwood graphic novels. It will also most likely feature news, reviews and behind the scenes on the latest Torchwood episodes. If you didn't know there is already a Doctor Who Magazine (DWM) which is released on a monthly basis.

Torchwood, the smash-hit thriller drama created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies, is currently filming for a new series which will be shown on BBC Two early next year.

Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), Gwen (Eve Myles), Owen (Burn Gorman), Tosh (Naoko Mori) and Ianto (Gareth David-Lloyd) return as the close-knit team of investigators solving alien and human crimes as they delve into the underworld of modern day Cardiff.

The high-octane storylines, filmed in and around Cardiff, include Torchwood's encounter with a rogue Time Agent; a tragic time-slip from World War One; and a memory-thief who uncovers long-forgotten secrets among the entire team.

Making a special guest appearance in the first episode is James Marsters who starred as Spike, the punk-goth vampire, in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Commenting on his role in Torchwood, James says: "I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood so it was me who knocked on their door.

"I am really excited about the character I am playing. I can't say too much about him, except he is naughty and a bit of a psychopath."

Later on in the run Alan Dale makes a star appearance. Alan is currently appearing in Ugly Betty as Bradford Meade and he is well known for his roles in The O.C., Lost, The West Wing and as Jim Robinson in the Australian hit soap Neighbours.

He said: "I am thrilled to be working on Torchwood and delighted to be in England again. I am a huge fan of British television drama."

Another familiar face among the surprise guest stars is Doctor Who's gorgeous companion Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) who brings her time-travelling expertise and medical skills to the team halfway through the series.

She says: "I'm really looking forward to working with the Torchwood team and can't wait to start filming.

"It's a huge new challenge and a wonderful opportunity to develop and expand the character of Martha Jones."

Russell T Davies said: "Filming is well underway in Cardiff, and we're aiming to make the show bigger and bolder than ever, as we move to our new home on BBC Two.

Created by Davies, with Chris Chibnall as co-producer and lead writer, the first series, which aired on BBC Three last year, achieved the channel's highest ever ratings – with an audience of 2.5 million for the first episode.

Torchwood is executive produced by Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner, Head of Drama in BBC Wales. The producer is Richard Stokes.

As their has not been much to post about in the Torchwood World I'm afraid i have recently not been posting as much as i would have liked to. I have meanwhile been spending most of my time on my two other blogs (Bad Wolf PR and John Simm PR). This however I intend to change as I will try to post as much as I can on this blog.

Moving on even though Torchwood Series 2 is still quite a long wait until it airs memories of Series 1 still live in the form of fan made music videos. Its becoming a challenge now Woodies, to put something up here that you haven't seen previously elsewhere. I have posted Australian trailers here for you before, and this post will not change that pattern. Just for a change though, Channel 10 Australia has decided to alter the format of their trailers.

This one is for "Small Worlds" the fifth episode of season one, you know the episode with evil fairies. Now a lot of you out there probably know some yourselves, but they're not all evil. Sorry bad joke, any way this new format of 10's seems to have upped the pace a bit from their previous ones. I hope you like it. For some reason 10 is still advertising it as a new series, how many episodes will it take for this to change? I wonder. My next challenge is to find you a trailer for Torchwood in a foreign language.

I actually thought I would have been able to do this for you today, as Torchwood has just started screening in Mexico this week on Canal 22 (presumably Channel 22). Torchwood will be screened twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays there. If this site has any Spanish speaking people reading this, please reply to the post in the comments area I would like some confirmation. G'day Woodies,

Cyberman back again with yet another Australian promo. This time covering episode 4 "Cyberwoman". During this episode we all learnt that Ianto had been harbouring an active cyberman or in this case cyberwoman, inside the Hub. He had also acquired a cyber conversion unit, all this had been done behind the backs of the rest of the team. Bad, bad Ianto. The cyberwoman turned out to be none other than his girlfriend Lisa, who had only been partially upgraded.

This trailer again features unnecessary Australian voice overs, which for some reason end up being added in virtually all advertisements down under. This episode has actually already screened, the promo you are about to view was shown on its air date around an hour before the show. I hope you like it.

Doctor Who Episode 13 Last Of The Timelords

Last Of The Timelords was The Last Episode Of John Barrowman's Doctor Who appearance and of course it finished in the usual finale fashion. The story continues one year on from The Master starting to take control of earth where now Earth is fully conquered by our Lord and Master. Meanwhile stories travel that only Martha Jones can defeat the Master. Also in this jam-packed tale we learn the truth about the Toclafaine and why they will make the Doctors hearts break. The Toclafaine are in fact the humans that the Doctor helped rescue in the first part of this 3 part epic which the Master went back to the future to change them.
As the story continues we eventually realise that Martha has not travelled the world to get the parts for a weapon to kill The Master she has in fact travelled to tell a story about one fantastic man named The Doctor which eventually contributes to The Masters terrible end. At the dying end we learn that Captain Jack Harkness was once called The Face Of Boe which leads suspicions that he is in fact The Face Of Boe we know and love and this would explain why Boe knows there's another Time Lord. This story also sees the end for now to the amazing Martha Jones who has travelled with The Doctor all the way through Series 3. Overall I would give this episode a 10/10.

its the Cyberman back again to treat you with some more video, from way down south. Way, way, down south, that is. Today I have for you yet another Australian Promo for Torchwoods' series one screening. This is the second promo for for S1E03 "Ghost Machine" and goes for only 14 seconds.

A lot you are probably saying to yourselves, I love these video postings but I can't save them. Well the people over at Real Networks have thankfully solved all of your problems there, in there latest release of Real Player. Real Player 11 Beta now allows you to record streaming video, and yes that means most YouTube videos. You can obtain the software from this link here, try it out for yourself.

Next up, some actual news with full confirmation today from the BBC about Freema Ageyman (Martha Jones from Doctor Who) making an appearance in 3 episodes of Torchwood Series 2. It will be interesting to see Freema and John Barrowmans on screen chemistry again, after 3 episodes together in series 3 of Doctor Who. Many fans after watching "The Last Of The Time Lords" would of been wondering if Martha was leaving the series.

Well as we earlier confirmed here at Torchwood PR, this not the case at all. Martha Jones will be rejoining the Doctor mid Series 4, and also making an appearance in Torchwood. Great news, really (I am not going to say seriously here again, Channel 10 can do it for me). Any way the video . . . . . . Well that's it over for John Barrowman's (Captain Jack Harkness) Doctor Who appearance but although just as he left he posed the question does Jack evolve into The Face Of Boe. The Face Of Boe is a friend of The Doctor's who dies by saving New Earth. The reason for us all thinking Jack is Boe is because as Jack left he said "They used to call me The Face Of Boe". So that suggests our brilliant Captain apparently lives for billions of years, so that's got too be many more series's of Torchwood to come right?

Martha In Torchwood, Australian Fan Club and other STUFF!

Hello Woodies, the Cyberman is back again with some more Australian trailer goodness for you. I would also like to welcome into the realm of Torchwood, possibly the first of many Australian Torchwood sites (besides the channel ten site), The Torchwood Fan Club Of Australia. The site has only been up for around a week, but has already gathered many members. On behalf of Torchwood PR, welcome Aussie Woodies!

For Australian visitors I would, encourage you to check out "Torchwood Declassified" in our links section. Declassified is a behind the scenes series shown in the UK only (at this stage), covering each episode of the show. Each Declassified runs for approximately 8 to 10 minutes and will give you all the ins and outs from the cast and crew.

Next up some news, relating to both Torchwood and its parent series Doctor Who. Regular visitors to Torchwood PR and BadWolf PR would be aware that a few months back, rumours were flying around the net regarding Freema Agyeman. The rumours were that she had been sacked from the series, this was later debunked by the BBC as being completely untrue. Well different rumours are now circulating about Freema, that she will only appear in a few episodes of Doctor Who series 4 (not the Christmas special which starts filming next week).

Apparently Freema will also be appearing in a few episodes of Torchwood. This begs the question does Martha return to Cardiff with Captain Jack? We will all know the answer to this within the next 24 hours, with the final episode of series 3 premiering tonight in the UK. The article also goes to on to mention Kylie Minogues' appearance in this years Christmas special. It also mentions that the Doctor will be getting a new companion, which I imagine Martha is quite jealous of. Regarding Marthas' Torchwood appearance (and I am only speculating here), I imagine she might pop up in the episode tentatively titled "Adam". As all Whovians would be aware, Adam is the only companion to be evicted from the Tardis Big Brother style. He was not happy about this when it happened, and his storyline has not really been bought to a conclusion. For this reason it is thought, the episode maybe about him. It makes sense that Martha would be ideal help to the Torchwood team, to assist Jack, Gwen and co.

Doctor Who Episode 12 The Sound Of Drums

The penultimate episode of Doctor Who came last Saturday with a bang as it was yet another fantastic episode. The main highlight of the episode has to be John Simms brilliant acting as The Master. The story followed on from The Doctor's, Martha's and Captain Jacks sticky situation at the end of the episode Utopia but off course thanks to Captain Jacks so called Space Hopper they manged to escape. They return to planet earth to find that Harold Saxon has been elected the prime minster of Great Britain. But in fact Mr Saxon is The Master. Mr Saxon explains to the world that finally Planet Earth will take its place in the universe as a new species are heading to earth, The Toclafane. But of course this made up species are not all that they seem. The story goes on following the trio as they work out what to do to stop The Master. As well as all this The Doctor also talks about his home Gallifrey and the academy which surprisingly made The Master who he is. Captain Jack also reveals a secret off his own that he works for Torchwood which fans off the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood will already know about. Overall i would give this episode a 9.5/10

Doctor Who Episode 11 Utopia

Utopia has to be the best way to describe episode 11 of Doctor Who series 3. Why? well apart from probably the best script and most action packed episode of series 3 it also saw the return of two old faces Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and The Master (Derek Jacobi and John Simm). Jack's return to Doctor Who was a brilliant display of humour and amazing acting. Whereas the great Derek Jacobi (Professor Yana, The Master) and John Simm's short display of The Master are truly to be admired. The basic story line see's the Tardis with its hitchhiker on board (Jack) being flung into the far future to the end of the universe where Gallaxys have collapsed and one man fights to save his people. Though of course this one man The Professor is not all that he seems. This story also features a enemy known as The Fututrekind who are believed to be the future for all those stuck and waiting to go to Utopia. As well of all this we also had some exciting flashbacks of Rose, Captain Jack, The Face Of Boe's final words and of course them exciting scenes of The Doctor becoming human. Overall I would give this episode a 9.5/10.

G'Day Woodies, as you have noticed the "Who Mix Of The Week" has been removed. Why you may ask? Well quite simply because it interfered with other things on the site, videos mainly. Although I absolutely adore Whomix as a site, their plug-in does not allow you to turn off the volume. So regardless of which track I could place on here, you would always constantly hear it going. Even if you were watching one of the site videos.

All of this I found to be quite annoying, and imagine many of you would have had the same feelings about it. Well good news, its gone for good. If we had not intended on placing videos on the site, a deal may have been cut with Whomix. History now all.

Next up more changes, if you haven't noticed already the "Contributors Blogs" area has been updated. Nothing like a freshen up, hey. Any way that is pretty much it. Other than that, Torchwood PR is seeking another contributor. If you are interested, you can apply via the site email address in the links tab. Torchwood Dead!

As you may have noticed over the last few posts Torchwood PR finally has proper news to post as Torchwood is well into filming. As well as news we also have plenty of behind the scenes gossip the latest news or rumour that we have got hold off is that Episode 10 of Torchwood Series 2 is to be called Death Comes To Torchwood. If this name is true then it will surely be a amazing episode and could maybe include someone or something getting inside our faithful Hub and terrorising the team. Of course not of this has been confirmed yet.

In other news as you may know our faithful Captain Jack (John Barrowman) is currently in Doctor Who fighting alongside The Doctor (David Tennant) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) against the terrifying Master (John Simm). Captain Jack's final episode on Doctor Who this series is called Last Of The Timelords and now the press release for this episode can be found below.

Earth has been conquered and the Master rules supreme, with the Doctor a helpless prisoner, in the final episode of Russell T Davies's Doctor Who.The entire human race has been reduced to slavery, as the mighty warships of a new Time Lord Empire rise from the ashes. RESET to the Highlands

Small details about episode six of Torchwood's 2 series has leaked. There's no plot information - but there's lot of juicy gossip besides! The episode is called "Reset" and is written by JC Wilsher. Alongside the regular Torchwood cast is guest star Simon Fisher, who plays the role of 'Billy'.
The episode, is in part of production block three, is to be directed by Ashley Way - filming of the episode begins in early July.

But at the moment in Doctor Who, in this week's "The Sound of Drums" we're given an explanation to where the Torchwood team have disappeared to. Apparently, Mr Saxon has sent them all on a wild goose chase up to the Scottish Highlands, to get them out of the way so he's free to conquer the world. What Saxon doesn't bet on though is the return of the Doctor, Jack and Martha from the far flung future.

This hopefully all is true.... it may not...

Jumping Jacks It's Jack Who's Back

Any massive John Barrowman fan will surely have noticed that at the end of last weeks episode of Doctor Who entitled Blink that in the next time trailer their was a familiar face appearing. This was of course the face of John Barrowman aka Captain Jack Harkness who is to appear in this Saturdays episode 11 of Doctor Who. The episode is called Utopia and it supposedly will explain to us how Jack got back from the Game Station in the far future all the way to Cardiff in the present day. But wait Hubbers theirs more as Jack is not only going to appear in this weeks episode he is also set to appear in episodes 12 and 13 called The Sound Of Drums and The Last Of The Timelords. In episodes 12 and 13 which are the last two of series 3 of Doctor Who he will be acting along side David Tennant (The Doctor) Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and John Simm (Harold Saxon) now theirs a cast we dream of seeing. But if you still want more John Barrowman then he is set to appear in tonight's episode of Blue Peter which is a Doctor Who special. So you noticed, hey? It was bit a bit hard not to, from now on each week at Torchwood PR, we will endeavour to bring you the latest "Whomix". So check out the news and get hyped for the next episode, now with sound. The guys over at Whomix, have come up with some very original takes on our favourite theme, I hope you will enjoy them all.

This first mix is called "Hellfire" and is done as a Hardcore Techno track. It's 7 minutes 29 seconds in length and should get the blood pumping in your veins. The artist Scott Sleigh (Cornwall, UK), has done an outstanding job in bringing this tune into the rave realm.

A little bit of a different way to celebrate 500 hits, on Torchwood PR. Maybe over time (no pun intended), the site will start on Torchwood as well. Heres hoping. So now blogging has a soundtrack too, I hope you all enjoy it! Cheers.

Australian Website Is Up!

Channel 10 in Australia has put up its own website, in preparation for the shows season one premiere on the 18th of June at 9.30. The website includes a guide to the series and a commentary by Russell T Davies. It also contains a guide to the characters, a photo gallery and a poll which asks the question "What is Torchwood an Anagram for?" Gee, I wonder?

Eve Myles and Naoko Mori have both done a Q & A on how they think Australians will respond to Torchwood. During the questioning Eve states she has the intention of heading to Australia, sometime before this Christmas. Good news for Australian fans.

The website can be seen by following this link. An interesting inclusion in the site are pictures of Suzie, even in the the title banner. Perhaps this has been done deliberately to throw fans off. After all in the advertisements it has already stated that Jack can't die, that in itself is a major spoiler.

Great to see an Australian Channel making an effort with their site, unlike Channel 2 with Doctor Who (ie: see external site, being the official one). 'Til next time Woodies.

Set Reporters We Love You

Today whilst doing a check around the forum of Outpost Gallifrey i noticed somebody else has uploaded some pictures and also a set report. This particular person is called Brax and his report and pictures are below.

Just got back from this evening's filming which was great fun. Just two scenes were filmed the 90 minutes or so that I was there but there was also plenty of other entertainment.John Barrowman was very friendly coming over to say hello to the masses on a couple of ocassions while people were also invited to have photos taken with him and autographs.Before rehearsals, people were also able to have their photo taken with the impressive SUV (is that the correct initials?), black car anyway!!!The first scene was done in one take. It involved Jack and Ianto looking at a young girl who was standing by a lamppost. Didn't hear the dialogue if there was any.The second scene involved Jack and Ianto hunting a weevil. The rough script is as follows...Ianto: Weevil sighted in the sewers of _____ street.Ianto then throws Jack the car keys that Jack catches (in every one of the dozen takes). Jack then looks like he's been startled and looks around.Jack: Did you SEE that?They both look for a second before Jack says: "Get in, I'll give you a lift." and they drive off.Filming was interupted a few times, at one point by some young drunks who starting shouting "I love you Jack Barrowman" before asking him for oral sex. Well it is Torchwood after all!John also spoke to the crowd about Joseph saying who he thought wouldn't make the grade.

Australian Promo

Lots of whispering and Captain Jack, that's what Woodies have started to see for Torchwood airing late at night on Channel 10 in Australia. This promo which only goes for 10 seconds contains one major spoiler for Everything Changes, without even showing the scene. The commercial takes the unusual step of announcing that Jack can't die, before the first episode has aired.

Perhaps this was done to give Channel 10 a different angle with their marketing, as Doctor Who is shown on ABC TV (Channel 2) in Australia not 10. This promo is not shown in perspective, hopefully someone will post another version on YouTube. For the time being though, it will have to do here it is, enjoy.

G'day Woodies and Hubbers, like the new look? Well I hope so, it took literally ages to do. Torchwood PR, as well as Badwolf PR have both just under-gone major design overhauls. Why? To celebrate Torchwood and Doctor Who's recent BAFTA wins. If you like what you see, they have both been re-done me.

Torchwood took 4 Awards, and Doctor Who followed its winning streak of prevoius years by taking home 8. A total of 12 awards in total, for the whoniverse. Torchwood's awards included Best Actress - Eve Myles, Best Design, Best Director of Photography: Drama and Best Drama. Way to go Eve, looks like reading knickers paid off.

Humor aside, Torchwood PR would also like to welcome back into the fold, CPotey. After being missing in action for a couple of months, he's back to help bring you the news on all things Torchwood. So that's the original crew, all back together again.

As mentioned earlier by CPotey, filming has commenced for season 2. If you have a mobile phone camera (which most of you would), and there is filming going on near you. If you did know already Torchwood series 2 is set to begin filming on the 30th April a date a told you months ago. The first block will see the return of director Andy Goddard (who helmed last years Countrycide and Combat). Episode 1 will be written by series creator Russell T Davies, though this wont be the first episode filmed. Additions and changes are being changed to the hub set, by Edward Thomas and his team, (also news i posted months ago) including a brand new Board Room which we did not see much of in the first series.

Jack was on the way back to the hub when his communicator bleeped and flashed. "Is Gwen alright?" Owen jumped. "I'm sure its nothing" Jack reassured him before answering it. "Gwen whats up?" He said. "Ummmm Jack I'm confused, just get back here asap...theres a very confused, rather attractive man dressed in 1950's/40's military uniform...and hes got your name.." Explained Gwen forgetting she was on loudspeaker. Back in the SUV Jack was lost for words. Could this be the man he left behind? The man he knew for a few hours but had felt he knew all his life? He didn't know, all he knew was he would never be able to explain this to any of them..let alone Ianto. "I'll be there as soon as possible" Jack managed to say "I've calmed him down and hes having coffee, I told him I was getting someone who can help, thanks Jack" Gwen added before hanging up. Jack didn't know if he was that person. If it was what he thought it was; his lover coming back through the rift then what would he do? Even he didn't know. In the back of the SUV Tosh was quiet, well more than usual, not daring to say anything. Ianto was the first to talk..."Tosh, you're quiet, do you know something?" She looked nervous and began biting her lip before saying "Why would I? I was just trying to work something out! Thanks alot Ianto I've forgotten now!" Ianto looked shocked at the idea of being told off and by Tosh of all people. As the SUV pulled up in silence to the hub Jack jumped out leaving the others to deal with the soldier, he couldn't think straight, he didn't know what he'd do if it was what he thought it was, but it couldn't be...could it? As he stepped into the hub his one wish & worst fear came true. There he was. Captain Jack Harkness was back. "Jack!" Gwen cried running over to him. "I'm so glad you're here, I didn't know what to do with him, he just appeared and...why does he have your name?" "Gwen it's a long story but its his name...not mine. I needed a name: I was too well known so I looked back on records and when he dies in 1941 I erased his records and took his name" Gwen looked confused "so what is your real name Jack?...whatever you're name is?" "It doesn't matter. just call me Jack, well James for now- that's what he knows me as" Jack told her. "WHAT? you've met before? how? when?!" Jack looked a bit shifty he wasn't sure how much he could trust Gwen but he had to tell her "Erm...when me and Tosh went back to 1941, I met him, it was the day before he died..." he confided Gwen looked sympathetic before adding "Did you love him Jack?" He pressed his lips together and sighed "I don't know, maybe he loved me, I'm not sure" he said wearily then added "I'd better talk to him but please keep Ianto out of the way, please" "I'll do my best Jack" she added before leaving in the direction of the cells. Captain Jack didn't take Jacks explanation very well. He did his best to explain about the rift but theres only so much a 1941 soldier can take. He didn't explain about his name though; too complicated he thought. "I'm sorry I had to leave you" Jack said. Captain Jack glanced up from his coffee. "Its okay, you had other commitments here he said gesturing towards the cells where Ianto was. Then he added "As if i meant anything to you anyway, I was stupid to think so". Jack closed his eyes feeling ashamed, he loved Captain Jack but he loved Ianto too, things had only just got better; how would he explain this to him? Captain Jack just stormed out, he didn't know where he was going, he just kept going even when Gwen, Owen and Tosh walked past. He needed someone to talk to so he walked to the cells where he knew Ianto was, he knew how he felt. Ianto was filling in a form when he got there. "Ahem..." Captain Jack said trying to get his attention. Ianto glanced briefly up from the form and sighed as if to say 'not you'. "I know who you are & I dont want to fight with you , in fact I don't want anything to do with you!" Ianto protested.Captain Jack looked offended "I just wanted to talk, James is really angry with me, I know he loves you but...well I thought we had something special" he told Ianto. "I know who you are...Gwen told me and well, James must feel something for you as much as it pains me to say that...well he asked Gwen to keep it from me or he wouldn't be so protective about it, oh yeah and his name isn't James..." Captain Jack looked really confused "well...what is it?" he piped up. "We don't know really, we call him Jack but that's not his real name" Ianto told him slightly confused himself at what he was saying. "So hes just a liar really" Captain Jack said with a little laugh "Pretty much" Ianto sighed raising his eyebrows. "You never know where you stand?" Jack said walking over to the door "Wait!" Ianto called out stopping Captain Jack just before the door. Ianto looked at him and moved closer to the other staring into his eyes , the gap closing between them. When mere centimetres were between them Ianto reached out putting his hands on Captain Jack's face and the others man's arms wrapped around his waist. He leaned in towards Ianto and kissed him softly, Ianto kissed back pushing him against the door. They broke apart from each other breathing heavily. Captain Jack bit his lip flirtatiously and they gazed into each others eyes, still holding on. "Making our way round the team are we Yan?" came an angry sounding American voice from the other doorway at the end of the corridor. They immediately broke away "Sir...Jack..It's not what it looks like!..." "Whatever Yan, you'll be after Owen next, I'm sure it wasn't your way of welcoming him to out decade!" He said sarcastically before turning away slamming the door behind him. Ianto ran after him not even looking back. Captain Jack just stood there leaning against the glass of a cell. He sighed a sigh of guilt, not only had he ruined his and Jack's relationship he had ruined it for Ianto too. He banged his head on the glass, eyes shut. He heard a faint cracking noise behind him and all of a sudden the glass gave way and shattered. Captain Jack toppled backwards violently into the cell; screaming. The weevil in the cell shot out and pounced onto him sinking its fangs into his neck piercing his throat; he screamed, a scream that echoed round the room; but no one was there to hear him. There was no one. No one there in his last moments. He just lay there; still; dead.

Julie Gives The Word!

Originally it was going to be this year, then it was 2008. The cast then piped up saying it was on track for this year, now Julie Gardner (BBC’s Controller of Drama) offers her 2p worth by letting us know its next year, 2008. Obviously the cast just aren't in the loop, oh well at least we finally have some clarity now.

Julie claims that the reason for the move to January 2008, is to avoid a rush job so as everything goes smoothly. Well I thought everything changes, at least that's what the first episode of series one told us last year. It sure enough has, many times with the second series' start date.

Ms Gardner states, "Last year, we started filming in March and we were on air with 13 episodes from late September, which was just so, so hectic. And we didn't really have enough time – it was absolutely frantic from day one of prep, it was all hands on deck."

Thanks Julie, for finally putting the matter to rest. Now we know how long we have to wait, we can all sleep at night. Alternatively we also know, that there's a few more viewings of our Series One DVD copies in the interim to have. I'm off now, for the time being see you later Woodies.

Torchwood In Australia

As was mentioned in an earlier post, Torchwood has been picked up in Australia by the Ten Network. The Age Newspaper has posted article about it, which is listed below.

Australians will also be surprised to hear "Kookaburra sits in the Old Gum Tree" in the episode "Small Worlds", which just happens to be about an Australian native bird. The song is sung in Kindergartens, to young children usually as a lullaby.

"Channel Ten has bagged Australian rights to the keenly awaited Dr Who spin-off Torchwood.

The spin-off is built around a team of investigators led by Harkness, a handsome - and bisexual - time agent from the 51st century played by John Barrowman.

He heads a team of investigators who fight crime with the help of technology salvaged from an alien planet. Torchwood was created by Russell T. Davies who is credited with resurrecting - and "queering" - the beloved BBC sci-fi series.

Another thing that I need to report about this site, is that sadly I will not be able to add a Picasa Web Album (like I did on my LifeOnMars.tv site). The reason for this is our multiple contributors. On one hand, its good having a lot of people help out. But in the case here, its prevented us from doing this. The Picasa software, although great does not work on a site basis. It works on a user basis, so if I put one up it would only contain the pictures I have posted on this sites blog area (not the side-bar), which is currently only 2 pictures. If we change our minds, I'd say we'll post Pop's one instead (him being the major contributor and also administrator). But what a bummer, hey?

Torchwood Begins

From one of my many friends of this site, the current start date for Torchwood to begin filming is the 30th April 2007 which is not that far away. The great John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Naoki Mori and Gareth David Lloyd will of course return for the great occasion. It seems the time for Doctor Who related items is now, with plenty happening over the coming months.

"Hucking Harkness in Kent"

Its amazing the inuendo you can create, with the English language without swearing. Earlier this year, it was announced that a shopping centre in Cardiff was to be named after our beloved show, Torchwood.

Since that announcement, another has jumped on the bandwagon. It appears that our favourite Captain, "Jack Harkness" has now had a racehorse named after him. John Barrowman will be going to visit the colt's stables at Hucking, Kent later in the month.

The two-year-old thoroughbred, shown here is one of the "Hucking Horses" syndicate and has been named "Hucking Harkness".

On kentnews.co.uk trainer John Best says: "We were discussing the 'Hucking Horses' and this colt - a son of the stallion Dr Fong - stood out as a tricky one to name.

"Somebody mentioned Doctor Who and from there we reached Captain Jack - and Hucking Harkness was born. We got in touch with John Barrowman’s connections to see what they thought of us using the name and they loved the idea."

Barrowman will visit the stables on March 30. He said: "I can't wait to meet the colt and I’m hoping to see him race.
